Couriers: connecting, pay and settling up

How to add couriers, connect them to the Telegram bot with a code, set their pay per order and settle up with them.

Couriers receive delivery orders in Telegram and press "Take it" and "Delivered" themselves. There are no passwords: a person connects to the bot with a single-use code. The feature is on plans that include couriers. Only the owner can add couriers or change their pay; a team member can only see them.

Add a courier

  1. Open "Menus → Menu settings → Staff". Menus → Menu settings → Staff
  2. In the "Add a courier" block enter a name, optionally a phone, choose the "Message language" and press "Add and get a code".
  3. Pass the text from the window to the courier: open the bot, press Start and send the code. The code is single-use and valid for a limited time; if it expired, press "New code". You can also send the link ("Copy link"): the bot opens with the code already entered.
  4. Once the courier sends the code, the row shows "Connected".

Courier pay

In the "Courier pay" block choose a scheme: "Full delivery price", "Fixed", "Per order and km" or "Custom". The custom scheme adds a fixed part, a percent of the delivery price and extra pay for kilometres beyond a base; "Not less than" and "Not more than" set the limits. With "Full delivery price" and free delivery the courier gets 0, so set "Not less than".

The pay is calculated once, when the courier presses "Delivered"; changing the rule does not recalculate past orders. For one person use "Set own →"; to return to the common rule press "Back to the venue rule".

How an order reaches a courier

When an order with delivery goes into work, every connected courier who is not on pause gets a message with a "Take it" button. It has no guest name, phone or exact address. The order goes to whoever presses first: they get a card with the guest's details and the buttons "Delivered" and "Decline", while the others see "Taken by: name". The register can remove the courier from an order or assign another one. In the bot, /settings changes the pause and language, and /stop disconnects.

Settling up

The courier's card has a "Settlement" block: "Earned", "Collected from guests" and "To settle" — who owes whom. Open "Orders and settlement history", tick the orders, add a note if you like, press "Settle up" and confirm. The record stays in "Settlement history". The service only records the settlement; you transfer the money yourself.

The courier also gets a shift or day summary. The owner's summary goes to Telegram notification recipients who have "Courier summary" switched on.
