Delivery: price, "free from" and zones
How to set the delivery price — one for everyone, per kilometre or by zones on a map — and how that price ends up in the order.
Where to set it
Delivery is turned on in "Menu settings" → "Order taking", in the "Orders for home" step (it exists in the "Online orders" and "Both" modes). Turn on "Delivery", set "Minimum order" if you like, and press "Set up on the map" (or "Change the price") — the "Delivery price" panel opens.
Menus → Menu settings → Order taking → Orders for home
Three ways to price
- "One price for everyone" — a single "Delivery price" for every address.
- "By distance" — zones measured by road. First put the venue point on the map ("Put the venue point" → "Put it here"), then add zones: "up to … km", a price and, if needed, "min. order". The distance is counted by road, not in a straight line. Beyond the last zone there is no delivery and the guest is offered pickup.
- "Per kilometre" — the first kilometres cost one price, then every kilometre is paid; you can also set "We do not deliver beyond".
"By distance" and "Per kilometre" are available on plans that include them; without that right the panel shows a hint and a link to a plan.
You can also set "Free delivery from" (empty — always paid) and "Delivery takes about, min".
Check the price
In the modes with a map there is a "Check a point" block: click the map to see what a guest with a pin at that spot will pay.
How the price gets into the order
The guest puts a point on the map and sees the delivery price at once. When the order is placed, the server calculates the price again by your settings at that moment. The price is part of the order total; the log shows the distance ("by road" or "approximate (straight line)").
If something is wrong with the delivery — for example, "point is not near a road" or "outside the zone" — an order sent to the messenger lands in the log marked "price pending". The price is entered at the register, and only then can the order be accepted.
