Team: dashboard access for your staff

How to invite a staff member to your dashboard, which permissions to give, what always stays closed and how to remove access.

A team is a group of people you let into your dashboard under their own email and password. You never need to share your own password. The section is available on plans that include teams; how many people you can invite depends on the plan.

Invite a staff member

  1. Open "Profile menu → Teams system" and choose "My teams". Profile menu → Teams system
  2. Press "Create team", enter a "Name" and press "Create".
  3. Open the team and press "Invite member".
  4. Enter the staff member's "Email". In the "Access" block "View" is always on; you can also tick "Create", "Update" and "Delete". As a rule, "Update" is needed to edit the menu and settings, "Create" to add new pages and restore from a copy, and "Delete" to delete things.
  5. Press "Invite via Email". The person gets an email with a link to log in or sign up.

What the staff member does

They log in with their own email, open "Teams system → Teams member" and press "Join team": in your list the status changes from "Invited" to "Accepted". Then they press "Login" and work inside your dashboard. A bar at the top reads "Logged in as … via … team" with an "Exit" button.

What always stays closed

Whatever permissions you give, a staff member cannot see or change:

  • the plan, the account and team management: these items are missing from their profile menu;
  • "Card payments", payment systems and the log of guest payments;
  • money settings of the venue: register shifts, discounts, split payment, refunds, online payment, requisites, the order channel and printing settings. These fields are marked "Owner only";
  • the list of couriers and their pay rule;
  • issuing and revoking the links of workplaces (kitchen, register and others);
  • shortening how long orders are kept: they can lengthen it but not shorten it;
  • the "Everything" option in the statistics reset window.

How to remove access

Open the team, press "⋮" next to the person and choose "Edit" to change the permissions, or "Delete" to close the access completely. A staff member can also leave on their own: in "Teams member" the "Delete" item opens the "Leave team" window.
