Payments log

What the card payments log shows, how to search and export it, how long guest data is kept and what the log does not do.

The "Payments log" is a list of the card payments guests made on the pages of your menus. Only the owner sees it: a team member does not have this section. If no bank is connected yet, the section may be empty.

What is in the log

Each row shows:

  • the guest's name and email, if they gave them;
  • the record type, "Menu order". Click it to open the venue orders;
  • the amount, the currency and the bank that processed the payment;
  • the date and time: hover over the calendar icon.

The log holds completed payments only. There is no status column, and unfinished attempts are not shown.

Searching and exporting

  1. The funnel button opens the filters: search by name or email, type, bank (the "Processor" filter), order by date or amount, and the number of rows per page.
  2. The download button exports the list to CSV or JSON.
  3. The "⋮" menu on a row has "Delete", which removes the record from the log. It does not refund the guest, and the order itself stays in "Orders".

How long guest data is kept

The retention period for orders is set in "Menu settings" → "Order taking" → "How you take orders" → "Keep for, days". It applies to all orders of the page, including those paid online. When it runs out, the guest's name and the order details are erased from the payment record. The amount, the bank and the date remain.

What the log does not do

  • It does not return money to the guest. You make refunds yourself, outside the service.
  • It does not cancel or change orders. Use the orders journal for that.
  • It does not replace the bank statement: use the statement to reconcile with the money on your account.
