In-venue orders: tables, QR and payment

How a guest orders from a table by QR code, how to add tables and print the codes, and how to set up payment and sending orders to the kitchen.

How it works

The guest scans the QR code on the table, builds an order and, instead of "show the waiter", taps "Send to the kitchen". The order appears on the kitchen screen as "Awaiting" — the kitchen accepts it by hand. Turn this on only if someone actually watches the kitchen or register screen.

Setup

  1. Open "Menu settings" → "Order taking". The page mode must be "At the venue" or "Both".
  2. In the "In the venue" step turn on "In-venue orders go to the kitchen".
  3. In the "Tables" field type the names one at a time, with Enter: 1, 2, "Terrace 1". "Add a range" adds many tables at once.
  4. Press "Open the printable sheet": an A4 sheet of cards to cut out, each table with its own QR code.

If there are no tables, identical cards are printed. If you remove or rename a table, reprint its card: the name is built into the QR code.

Payment in the venue

When online card payment is connected, the "In the venue" step gets "How guests pay in the venue":

  • "Pay on site" — the guest sends the order to the kitchen and pays on site;
  • "Guest chooses" — pay by card right away or on site;
  • "Online only" — the kitchen sees the order only after payment, and a guest without a card orders from the waiter. If the bank is not connected, venue orders are not accepted — the setting warns you about it.

Only the owner can change this choice.

Where the order shows

In the "Orders" log the row says the table ("table 5"), and the kitchen screen shows "Table". The order then goes the usual way: "Awaiting" → "Cooking" → "Ready".
