Add-ons and portion options

How to set up portion options with different prices and add-on sets such as "no onion" or a choice of sauce, and attach them to dishes.

There are two separate tools. Portion options give one dish several prices: 0.3 and 0.5 l, or S, M and L. Add-ons are sets a guest picks from when adding a dish to the basket: "no onion", "extra cheese", a sauce.

Portion options

  1. Open "Menu settings" → "What the menu does" and switch on "Portion options". Menus → Menu settings → What the menu does
  2. On the "Dishes" tab click the dish photo and, in the "Portion options" block, press "Add an option".
  3. Fill in "Label" (for example "Large"), "Size" and "Price". The label can stay empty: the size stands in for it.

While a dish has options, guests see them instead of the dish price.

Add-ons

  1. In the same section switch on "Dish add-ons". An "Add-ons" tab appears. If your plan does not include them, the tab shows a lock and, instead of the editor, a description of the feature. Guests pick add-ons when adding a dish to the basket, so switch on "Guest basket" too.
  2. On the "Add-ons" tab press "Add a set" and type a "Set name", for example "Sauce". Menus → Add-ons
  3. Choose the "Mode": "Remove" (that is "no onion", and such rows have no price), "Add" (paid extras; the "At most" field limits how many a guest can pick) or "Pick one" (exactly one row). The "Required" switch makes the choice compulsory.
  4. Press "Add a row" and type the rows, for example "No onion". If a row runs out, switch on "Out of stock" and guests will not see it.
  5. Press "Which dishes" and tick the dishes where the guest should see the set. One set can be attached to every shawarma at once.

Everything saves by itself. The bin deletes a set after a confirmation, and its rows and links go with it.

Names of sets and rows are translated on the "Translations" tab.
